ProTec were initially the sole distributor and reseller for Dr Solomons Antivirus software in East Africa. Dr Solomons was bought by Network Associate and their products were merged. After they merged ProTec became the sole authorized reseller in Kenya for Network Associates and McAfee.

Since then we have forged partnerships with other world leading security solutions companies. Our partnerships and the status of these partnerships are listed below.

McAfee                         Status: Elite Partner      (Only one in East Africa)

McAfee has three levels of partnership: Elite, Authorised and Registered. Elite is the highest level and requires a number of McAfee certified sales and technical staff. ProTec in association with their sister company D.R.S. (Dynamic Recovery Services) are the only Elite partners in the whole of East African Region.

Symantec                     Status: Enterprise Solution Partner         (One of two in Kenya)

Symantec currently has five levels of partner status. Enterprise Solutions Partner is the second highest level, and is the highest that will be appointed in East Africa. The first and second levels are the only ones which are able to offer Symantec’s Advanced Security Solutions, the bottom three levels can only offer AntiVirus and basic utilities software.
