This policy will then govern the whole company from the top to the bottom of the company, as it will have measures that all have to follow. Some of this includes access control to company information; data back up policy and also disaster recovery.

A framework is designed to show how IT processes would be of benefit to a company as well as promoting efficiency in an organization. It also defines which resources would be of benefit towards fulfilling your business objectives.

What it does?
Such a policy protects the network from disaster such that if there was a fire no information lost. It would also enhance the information flow of the company.
This policy also creates more order in the company and they will have a set of rules to follow from the policy structured.

What would happen if you don’t have a security policy?
Lack of a security would lead to loss of data in case of a disaster. There would also be confusion of information as there would be no particular format being followed.
